There are two ways an account becomes yours (linked to you for commission):
  1. You register it for a client from the console — see Managing clients. You’re added as an admin.
  2. They sign up through your referral link — the new account is attributed to you for commission, but you are not a member of it (the client owns it).
Find your link in the Partner Console (Workspaces → Partners). It looks like:
https://app.hiveku.com/r/<your-code>
Share it anywhere — your site, proposals, email. When someone clicks it we remember your code and attribute their new account to you when they sign up.

How attribution works

  1. A prospect opens your /r/<code> link. We store your code in their browser.
  2. They sign up and create their account as normal.
  3. On their first session, the account is linked to you (partner_account_id).
  4. From then on, their invoices accrue commission to you.
Attribution is first-touch and one-time: an account can only be linked to one partner, and only if it isn’t already linked. You never gain access to a referred account’s data through a referral link — only commission attribution.

Use register when you’re setting clients up hands-on; use the referral link for self-serve signups you want credit for.
